Passport and visa
A Finnish citizen needs a visa for India. For the visa you need a passport, one photo and the visa form. A visa is granted for six months.

Vaccinations
There are no compulsory vaccinations for India, but it is advisable to check the status of your polio and tetanus vaccinations. Health care centers provide more information.

Currency
The currency of India is the rupee, which divides into 100 paisas. One Euro equals c. 58 rupees. Euros can be exchanged into rupees in India. A Euro traveller's cheque is a safe choice - they can only be used or exchanged with proof of identity - and also valid in Finland.

Credit cards
Visa, American Express, Diners and Master Card are accepted at hotels and many shops.

Time difference
Indian time is three and a half hours ahead of Finnish time - two and a half hours during Daylight Saving Time.
